The proportional output control module makes it possible to regulate the system output infinitely via a (0)4 to 20 mA or 0 to 10 V signal.

Cell-cleaning module
The control system for the feed pump (installed by the customer), which conveys the hydrochloric acid that the process requires, is integrated into the system and can be operated using the display. The PLC control system handles and monitors the entirety of the cell-cleaning process.

Stacked tank control (storage container control)
The level sensors for the stacked tank (which are installed by the customer) are controlled in a way that regulates the AST system’s switch-on and switch-off behavior, and the level in the stacked tank. Four sensors are monitored as standard (leakage alarm, maximum alarm, production on, production off). The alarm message is shown on the system display, and sent to the measuring and control technology via the group alarm.

4G module for alarm messages
The 4G module provides a convenient way of transferring various alarm messages to stored cell phone numbers or email addresses via text message.

Memory module
System data is stored on a micro SD memory card for a defined time period (this includes operating hours and information about alarms, output, and temperatures). The data can be conveniently retrieved and evaluated on the display.

Salt intake module
Integrating the salt intake module provides an easy way of refilling the brine container without the need to lift salt bags.

Operating safety package
The operating safety package can be custom-configured. A wide range of components are available to choose from and ensure that the system is able to continue operating in the event of a fault.

  • Circuit breaker that switches off the system in the event of a lightning strike in the power supply
  • Separate currents to ensure that 50% of the system is able to keep operating in the event of electrical faults, for example
  • Multiple brine dosage pumps per system
  • Phase monitoring (from AST-500 and/or systems operated with 400 V)

230 V socket with external system monitoring module
In the case of water softeners with a column, the AST system runs in stand-by mode during the regeneration stage. The 230 V socket on the AST system is intended for supplying items such as water softeners.
